| To burn off the amount of calories in a Chicken Tikka would take 113 minutes of boring walking, but only 56 minutes of fencing! That’s nearly twice as fast, & because fencing is as much about tactics, and out witting your opponent, to the point it is often referred to being like playingsuper high speed chess with muscles, you don’t even notice how much work you have done until after the fights and see how much you have sweated. | ||

| Initially an aerobic excise (using oxygen to fuel your muscles, & the best form of exercise for burning of calories directly), after a while it become an-aerobic, which is where it starts to develop dense muscles, in muscle groups you don’t normally use – increased muscle mass means you have a higher passive metabolism, which means you are even burning calories whilst your not fencing! Because it is not resistance based training, it is a slim line swimmer type of fitness, not like bulky weight trainer large muscle fitness which so many people find unappealing. | ||
